At this writing Hollywood is busily engaged in the recreation of The Gene Krupa Story. That the most famous drummer in the history of jazz should at least have been honored by recognition in this form is, I suppose, a healthy indication. It remains to be seen whether any few thousand feet of celluloiud can give an adequete picture of the background, the vicissitudes and the unparalleled impact of this man's career.
